Consent may be provided through affirmative actions performed within the application or related services. Such actions include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Creating an account or signing in to the application through third-party authentication providers such as Apple or Google, thereby authorizing the processing of account-related information such as name, email address, profile image, and authentication identifiers.
• Completing onboarding questionnaires or profile forms that include demographic details, fitness goals, dietary preferences, health information, or lifestyle data used to generate personalized plans.
• Entering health, nutrition, biometric, or activity data manually within the application, including information such as weight, height, fitness metrics, caloric intake, or exercise progress.
• Integrating the application with third-party health and fitness platforms, including services such as Apple Health, Google Fit, or Google Health Connect, which may allow Calorii to access activity data, biometric metrics, and other health-related information for the purpose of providing personalized insights and recommendations.
• Uploading, capturing, creating, saving, storing, or managing photographs, meal photos, food images, progress photos, before-and-after images, workout-related images, profile images, avatar source images, AI-generated avatars, or other visual content for features such as AI-based body analysis, food recognition, nutrition analysis, progress tracking, avatar creation, or workout feedback. Some images may be processed temporarily, while other images may be retained in the user’s account where the user chooses to save them or where they are needed to provide the requested feature.
• Interacting with the AI assistant or chatbot functionality, which may involve submitting text prompts, health-related questions, progress updates, or other personal information in order to receive personalized responses and guidance.
• Using AI-driven services powered by external artificial intelligence providers, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, and other AI service providers used to support Calorii features, which may require sharing relevant contextual data such as fitness metrics, demographic attributes, activity records, food or meal data, images, text prompts, and other user-submitted content to generate recommendations, responses, meal analysis, workout guidance, body analysis, performance insights, and other analytical outputs.
• Using food, nutrition, barcode, ingredient, and recipe database services, which may require the processing or transmission of relevant food search queries, barcode numbers, ingredient names, recipe information, serving sizes, meal data, and related nutrition information for the purpose of supporting food search, barcode scanning, meal logging, recipe import, nutrition analysis, and meal planning features.
• Participating in optional community features such as challenges, leaderboards, or shared activity tracking where selected user metrics (for example steps, calories, rankings, scores, username, or avatar) may be visible to other users within the platform.
• Sharing workouts, meal plans, meal photos, progress photos, AI-generated avatars, achievement cards, body analysis results, nutrition summaries, workout summaries, or other user-generated or AI-generated content with the Calorii community, social media platforms, messaging applications, or other third-party services selected by the user. Shared content may be visible to others depending on the sharing method and the privacy settings of the external service.
• Enabling cookies, SDKs, pixels, advertising identifiers, conversion APIs, campaign tracking tools, or other tracking technologies that allow the application and its partners to analyze usage patterns, measure advertising performance, attribute app installs or purchases, improve performance, support retargeting, create or measure audiences, and deliver relevant content or services where permitted by law.
• Purchasing or subscribing to premium services, which may require the processing of transaction and subscription data through app store payment systems and associated service providers.

Consent provided through any of the activities described above constitutes a valid legal basis for the processing of personal information where such consent is required under applicable laws and regulations. In jurisdictions governed by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and related European data protection frameworks, consent serves as one of the lawful bases for processing personal data under Article 6, and for the processing of special categories of data, including health-related information, under Article 9 where applicable. In the United States and other international jurisdictions, user consent similarly functions as a recognized legal basis for the collection and processing of personal information, particularly in contexts involving health, behavioral, or sensitive user data.

Users may withdraw their consent at any time, where legally permitted, by discontinuing the relevant activity, disabling integrations, adjusting privacy settings within the application, or contacting Calorii through the designated support channels. Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing conducted prior to such withdrawal but may limit the availability or functionality of certain services that rely on the processing of the relevant data.

Where applicable privacy laws require Calorii to identify a lawful basis for processing personal data, Calorii may rely on one or more lawful bases depending on the type of information collected and the purpose of processing. These lawful bases may include the user’s consent, performance of a contract with the user, compliance with legal obligations, Calorii’s legitimate interests, protection of vital interests, or other lawful bases recognized under applicable privacy laws.

For information that may be considered sensitive or special category data, including health, fitness, biometric, body analysis, nutrition, or other wellness related information, Calorii relies on explicit consent or another lawful basis permitted by applicable law where required. Users may withdraw consent where legally permitted, but doing so may limit or disable features that depend on the relevant data.

3. Types of Data Collected

Calorii collects different categories of information when users interact with the application, website, and related services. The information collected depends on the features used, permissions granted by the user, and the actions performed within the platform, including those described in the consent section of this Privacy Policy. Users may provide information directly when creating an account, completing onboarding questionnaires, interacting with the AI assistant, uploading content, connecting third party services, participating in challenges or community features, subscribing to premium services, participating in referral or affiliate programs, or otherwise using the functionalities available through the application. Calorii may also collect certain information automatically through the use of the platform. The categories of data that may be collected include, but are not limited to, the following.

3.1. Personal Identification and Account Information

Calorii may collect personal information that identifies or relates to a specific user when an account is created or when the user logs into the application. This may include the user’s name, email address, username, profile image, phone number, account credentials, and other identifying information associated with the account. When users authenticate through external identity providers such as Apple or Google, Calorii may receive certain account attributes made available by those providers, including the user’s email address, display name, profile photograph, and provider specific user identifiers.

3.2. Profile and Demographic Information

Users may provide demographic and profile information during onboarding or when updating their account settings. This information may include age, gender, height, weight, physical condition, training experience, fitness objectives, lifestyle preferences, and other personal attributes used to personalize the services provided through the application. Additional contextual information may also be collected, including available training equipment, preferred workout schedule, and other details used to generate customized fitness programs.

3.3. Health, Fitness, and Biometric Data

Because Calorii provides fitness and nutrition related services, the platform may collect information related to physical activity and wellness. This may include steps taken, distance traveled, calories burned, workout duration, training intensity, exercise history, training volume, repetitions, sets, and progress toward fitness or nutrition goals. When users connect the application to third party health services such as Apple Health, Google Fit, or Google Health Connect, Calorii may receive health and activity metrics synchronized from those services. Where available or voluntarily provided by the user, additional wellness indicators may also be collected, including heart rate data, sleep related metrics, and other biometric indicators that assist in monitoring performance and physical progress.

3.4. Nutrition and Dietary Information

Calorii may collect information related to dietary habits and nutritional preferences in order to generate personalized meal plans and nutrition guidance. This may include dietary restrictions, allergies, preferred diet types, caloric goals, nutritional targets, favorite foods, meal frequency, and other nutrition related information voluntarily provided by the user. Users may also log meals and food intake within the application, which may include information about calories consumed, macronutrient composition, meal timing, and other dietary tracking data.

3.5. AI Assistant and Interaction Data

When users interact with the AI assistant or other artificial intelligence features available within the application, Calorii may collect the information provided during those interactions. This may include text prompts, questions submitted to the AI assistant, fitness progress updates, health related inputs, conversational messages, and other contextual information necessary to generate responses or recommendations. These interactions may contain information about the user’s lifestyle, training routines, dietary behavior, and personal fitness goals. Records of interactions with the AI assistant may be stored for purposes including service improvement, system monitoring, troubleshooting, security, and quality assurance.

3.6. Training, Activity, and Performance Metrics

The application may collect detailed information about workouts and training performance when users track their physical activities through the platform. This may include workout duration, exercises performed, repetitions, sets, training volume, calories burned, challenge scores, streaks, rankings, activity logs, and other metrics generated through the use of the platform’s fitness tracking features. These metrics may be used to measure progress, generate insights, and support community features such as challenges or leaderboards.

3.7. Images and Visual Data

Certain functionalities of Calorii may allow users to upload, capture, create, save, store, or submit images and visual content. This may include meal photos, food images, body progress photos, before-and-after images, workout-related images, profile images, images used for AI-based body analysis, avatar source images, AI-generated avatars, and other visual content submitted or created through the platform.

These images may be used to support features such as meal recognition, nutrition analysis, food logging, meal history, body analysis, visual progress tracking, avatar creation, workout feedback, and personalized fitness or nutrition insights. Uploaded images may contain personal information, health-related information, physical characteristics, meals, surroundings, or other visual details included in the image.

Calorii may also generate derived data from uploaded images, such as estimated body composition, progress indicators, food recognition results, nutrition estimates, visual comparison results, avatar outputs, or other AI-generated insights. These outputs are estimates and may not always be accurate or complete.

Certain visual content, including saved meal photos, saved progress photos, profile images, before-and-after images, avatar source images, and AI-generated avatars, may be saved in the user’s account so the user can review prior entries, compare changes over time, reuse saved content, maintain meal history, or access related features within the platform.

Calorii does not use uploaded images, generated avatars, or visual analysis data to identify or verify a user’s identity unless Calorii expressly discloses that feature and obtains any consent required by applicable law.

3.8. User Generated Content

Users may voluntarily create, upload, or share content within the application. This may include workouts, meal plans, nutritional information, training advice, comments, feedback, images, and other materials generated through the platform’s features. Such content may contain personal information, health related details, performance metrics, or other information associated with the user’s account. When users choose to share content with the community, certain associated information, including username, avatar, or activity metrics, may become visible to other users.

3.9. Community, Challenge, and Leaderboard Data

Calorii may collect and display certain activity metrics when users voluntarily participate in community features such as challenges, competitions, or leaderboards. Information associated with these features may include usernames, profile images, step counts, calories burned, repetitions, training volume, challenge scores, rankings, streaks, and other performance related metrics. Participation in these features is voluntary and certain information may be visible to other users depending on the configuration of the challenge or leaderboard.

3.10. Subscription, Transaction, and Billing Information

When users purchase premium features or subscriptions, Calorii may collect information related to transactions and subscription status. This may include purchase history, subscription type, billing dates, renewal status, transaction identifiers, and other purchase related records. Purchases made within the mobile application may be processed through the payment systems of Apple App Store or Google Play. Subscription management and entitlement verification may also involve services provided by RevenueCat. Calorii does not typically store full payment card numbers when payments are processed through these external payment platforms.

3.11. Affiliate and Referral Program Data

Calorii may collect certain information when users participate in referral programs, affiliate programs, promotional campaigns, or invitation systems associated with the platform. These programs may allow existing users, partners, or third parties to invite new users to the application through referral links, invitation codes, or affiliate tracking mechanisms.

In connection with these programs, Calorii may collect information necessary to attribute referrals, track promotional performance, and administer rewards or incentives. This information may include referral codes, invitation identifiers, the identity or account identifier of the referring user, the registration of the referred user, referral timestamps, and the status of referral conversions.

Calorii may also collect technical and tracking information related to referral activities, including IP address, device identifiers, browser information, approximate location data, referral URLs, campaign identifiers, and interaction data associated with affiliate links or promotional campaigns. Such information may be collected through cookies, SDKs, pixels, referral links, and other tracking technologies used to identify the source of a referral or promotional activity.

Records of referral related activity may also be maintained, including successful invitations, reward eligibility, affiliate performance metrics, and related account activity used to administer the referral or affiliate program and prevent fraudulent participation.

3.12. Device, Technical, and Network Information

Calorii may automatically collect certain technical information about the device and network used to access the application or website. This may include device model, operating system version, hardware characteristics, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, network configuration, mobile carrier information, internet service provider, and language preferences. The platform may also collect diagnostic information such as application version data, crash reports, system logs, and error reports used to maintain system stability and improve performance.

3.13. Usage and Interaction Information

The platform may collect information about how users interact with the application. This may include data about features accessed, screens visited, navigation paths, time spent within certain sections, frequency of use, interaction patterns, and engagement with specific tools or functionalities. Calorii and its service providers may use cookies, software development kits, tracking pixels, and similar technologies to collect information related to user interactions with the application and website. These technologies may collect information including IP address, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, browser type, device configuration, usage activity, referral sources, and interaction data. Tracking technologies may support functions such as analytics, application performance monitoring, security protection, service personalization, marketing attribution, and measurement of user engagement.

3.15. Data Processed Through Artificial Intelligence Integrations

Certain information provided by users may be processed through artificial intelligence technologies integrated into the platform in order to generate personalized outputs. In connection with these services, relevant contextual information may be transmitted to external AI service providers, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, and other AI service providers used to support Calorii features. The information processed may include demographic attributes, fitness metrics, activity records, nutrition and meal data, text prompts submitted by the user, images uploaded through the application, and other user-submitted content necessary to generate requested outputs. These providers process the information for the purpose of generating responses, recommendations, meal plans, workout routines, performance insights, body analysis, food recognition, and other outputs requested through the platform. Calorii takes reasonable steps to limit the information shared with AI providers to what is necessary for the relevant feature. Such processing occurs in accordance with the providers’ applicable privacy policies, data processing terms, security practices, and legal obligations.

3.16. Food, Nutrition, Barcode, Ingredient, and Recipe Database Information

Calorii may collect or process food, nutrition, barcode, ingredient, and recipe related information when users use features such as food search, barcode scanning, meal logging, recipe import, food recognition, and meal planning. This information may include food search queries, barcode numbers, ingredient names, recipe URLs or recipe text submitted by the user, serving sizes, meal names, nutritional values, recipe instructions, and related food database results. This information is used to retrieve, match, analyze, and display nutrition information within the platform.

3.17. Information from Additional Sources

Calorii may also receive certain information from additional sources when relevant to the operation and improvement of the platform. This may include information obtained through customer support communications, feedback submissions, user surveys, technical diagnostics, and other direct interactions between users and the Calorii support team.

3.18. Saved, Exported, and Shared Content

Calorii may allow users to save, download, export, or share certain content created, uploaded, or generated through the platform. This may include meal logs, meal photos, progress photos, before-and-after images, body analysis results, AI-generated avatars, workout summaries, nutrition summaries, achievement cards, challenge results, and other user-generated or AI-generated content.

When users choose to save or export content, that content may be stored on the user’s device, photo library, cloud backup service, or another storage location selected by the user. When users choose to share content to social media platforms, messaging apps, or other third-party services, the shared content may become visible to other people depending on the user’s privacy settings on those services.

4. How Long We Keep Your Data

Calorii retains personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which the data was collected, to provide the services available through the platform, to maintain the functionality and security of the application, and to support legitimate operational needs such as troubleshooting, dispute resolution, and service improvement. The retention period applicable to each category of information depends on the nature of the data, the context in which it was collected, and the ongoing relationship between the user and the platform. When information is no longer necessary for these purposes, Calorii may delete, anonymize, or securely store the data in accordance with internal data management practices. The retention of the categories of information described in this Privacy Policy generally follows the principles outlined below.

4.1. Personal Identification and Account Information

Personal identification and account information are generally retained for the duration of the user’s account in order to maintain access to the platform, authenticate the user, and ensure the proper operation of account related services. If a user deletes their account, Calorii may retain certain account related records for a limited period in order to address technical issues, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce platform policies, and comply with operational or security requirements.

4.2. Profile and Demographic Information

Profile and demographic information provided by users is retained for as long as the user maintains an active account with the platform. This information is necessary to generate and maintain personalized fitness and nutrition recommendations. Users may update or modify profile information at any time through their account settings. When an account is deleted, such information may be removed or anonymized within a reasonable period unless retention is required for operational, security, or service integrity purposes.

4.3. Health, Fitness, and Biometric Data

Health, fitness, and biometric data collected through the application are generally retained while the user maintains an active account and continues to use the fitness tracking features of the platform. This information allows Calorii to maintain historical activity records, monitor progress over time, and generate accurate recommendations based on long term data trends. If a user deletes their account, such information may be deleted or anonymized unless certain records must be retained for service integrity, analytics improvement, or system performance monitoring.

4.4. Nutrition and Dietary Information

Nutrition and dietary information, including meal tracking and dietary preferences, is retained while the user actively uses the platform’s nutrition planning and dietary tracking tools. Retaining this information allows the application to generate ongoing recommendations and maintain continuity in meal planning features. When a user removes their account, this information may be deleted or anonymized within a reasonable timeframe, except where limited retention is necessary to maintain system integrity or aggregated analytical insights.

4.5. AI Assistant and Interaction Data

Information submitted through the AI assistant or chatbot interactions may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, generate requested outputs, monitor safety, troubleshoot issues, prevent misuse, maintain service quality, investigate technical issues, and improve platform functionality. Calorii may retain AI interaction records for up to 24 months unless a longer retention period is required for legal, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, compliance, or service integrity purposes. Where possible, Calorii may anonymize or aggregate AI interaction data so that it is no longer associated with an identifiable user.

4.6. Training, Activity, and Performance Metrics

Training records, activity logs, and performance metrics are generally retained while the user maintains an account and continues to use the fitness tracking functionality of the platform. These records enable users to review historical performance data, track progress, and maintain continuity in personalized recommendations. Upon account deletion, these records may be deleted or anonymized unless certain information is retained for internal analytics, aggregated reporting, or system improvement purposes.

4.7. Images and Visual Data

Images uploaded by users, including meal photos, body progress photos, before-and-after photos, workout-related images, profile images, avatar source images, AI-generated avatars, and other visual content, may be stored temporarily or retained depending on the functionality used and the user’s choices.

Images used only for temporary processing, such as one-time meal recognition, food analysis, or AI image analysis, may be deleted after the relevant analysis or output has been generated, unless the user chooses to save the image, the image is needed to maintain the requested feature, or retention is otherwise necessary for operational, legal, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, compliance, backup, or service integrity purposes.

Meal photos, progress photos, before-and-after images, avatar source images, AI-generated avatars, and other visual content saved by the user may be retained in the user’s account for as long as necessary to provide the relevant feature, maintain the user’s meal or progress history, allow the user to access previously saved content, support progress tracking, support avatar functionality, troubleshoot issues, maintain platform security, and improve service quality.

Users may delete saved photos or related visual content where such functionality is available in the application. If a user deletes their account, Calorii may delete or anonymize associated images, avatars, and related visual data within a reasonable period, unless limited retention is required for legal, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, compliance, backup, or operational purposes.

4.8. User Generated Content

Content created and shared by users, including workouts, meal plans, comments, and other shared materials, may remain available within the platform for as long as the content is associated with an active user account or shared within the community. If a user deletes their account or removes specific content, such information may be removed from the user’s profile. However, copies of shared content may remain visible within the accounts of other users who have saved, copied, or interacted with that content prior to its removal.

4.9. Community, Challenge, and Leaderboard Data

Information associated with community participation, challenges, and leaderboard activities may be retained for the duration of the relevant challenge or event and may also be stored for historical records related to rankings, achievements, and user performance. In some cases, anonymized or aggregated challenge data may be retained for analytical or platform improvement purposes.

4.10. Subscription, Transaction, and Billing Information

Transaction records, subscription information, and purchase related data may be retained for as long as necessary to maintain accurate financial records, support billing inquiries, manage subscription access, and address disputes or payment related issues. Certain purchase records may be retained for longer periods where necessary to maintain financial accountability, verify entitlement to premium services, or investigate fraudulent transactions.

4.11. Affiliate and Referral Program Data

Information collected in connection with affiliate or referral programs may be retained for as long as necessary to administer the referral system, verify eligibility for promotional incentives, maintain program performance records, and detect or prevent misuse of referral mechanisms. Records of referral activity may also be retained for internal analytics, promotional evaluation, and fraud prevention purposes.

Information collected through cookies, software development kits, tracking pixels, and similar technologies may be retained for varying periods depending on the purpose of the technology used. Some tracking technologies operate for the duration of a user session, while others may persist on a user’s device for longer periods in order to support analytics, performance monitoring, or feature optimization. Users may be able to manage certain tracking technologies through device or browser settings.

4.15. Data Processed Through Artificial Intelligence Integrations

Information processed through artificial intelligence integrations may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to support the operation of AI driven features, improve the accuracy and reliability of automated outputs, monitor safety, detect misuse, troubleshoot issues, and maintain the reliability of AI systems integrated into the platform. Calorii may retain AI related processing data for up to 24 months unless a longer retention period is required for legal, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, compliance, or service integrity purposes. In certain cases, AI related processing data may be stored in logs or analytical systems used to monitor performance, identify system issues, and improve the functionality of automated services. Where possible, Calorii may anonymize or aggregate such data.

4.16. Food, Nutrition, Barcode, Ingredient, and Recipe Database Information

Food, nutrition, barcode, ingredient, and recipe related information may be retained for as long as necessary to provide meal logging, recipe import, barcode scanning, nutrition analysis, meal planning, and related food database features. Certain food search, barcode, recipe, and ingredient records may be retained while the user maintains an account or for as long as needed to maintain logs, favorites, saved meals, recipes, nutrition history, troubleshooting records, fraud prevention, or aggregated analytical insights.

4.17. Information from Additional Sources

Information obtained through customer support interactions, feedback submissions, and other direct communications with users may be retained for as long as necessary to address inquiries, investigate issues, improve service quality, and maintain records of support related communications. Such information may also be retained to support service improvements and maintain operational continuity within the platform.

4.18. Saved, Exported, and Shared Content

Content that users save within Calorii may be retained for as long as necessary to provide the related feature, maintain account history, support progress tracking, allow the user to access saved content, or otherwise operate the platform. Content saved, downloaded, exported, or shared outside Calorii may continue to exist outside the platform and may be subject to the privacy practices, retention rules, and deletion controls of the user’s device, cloud service, social media platform, messaging app, or other third-party service.

Deleting content from Calorii may not delete copies that were previously saved, downloaded, exported, shared to social media, sent to other users, or stored by third-party platforms.

5. Purposes of Data Collection

Calorii collects and processes user information for specific operational, functional, and service related purposes associated with the provision of the application and its features. The purposes for which information is collected depend on how users interact with the platform, the functionalities they choose to use, and the information they voluntarily provide while using the services. The processing of such information allows Calorii to operate the application, personalize user experiences, improve the accuracy of AI generated outputs, maintain the security of the platform, and provide ongoing technical and customer support. The primary purposes for which the categories of data described above may be collected and processed include the following.

5.1. Personal Identification and Account Information

Personal identification and account information are collected and processed for purposes related to the creation, authentication, administration, and maintenance of user accounts within the Calorii platform. This information allows Calorii to identify users, enable secure login functionality, maintain account profiles, and ensure that users can access their personalized data, training plans, and nutritional recommendations. Account related information may also be used to communicate with users regarding service updates, account notifications, security alerts, and customer support inquiries.

5.2. Profile and Demographic Information

Profile and demographic information is collected in order to personalize the services offered through the application. This information allows Calorii to generate individualized fitness programs, dietary plans, and activity recommendations that align with the user’s personal characteristics, physical condition, training experience, and lifestyle preferences. These data points enable the platform to adapt recommendations over time and improve the relevance and effectiveness of the guidance provided through the application.

5.3. Health, Fitness, and Biometric Data

Health, fitness, and biometric data are collected for the purpose of monitoring user progress, generating personalized insights, and supporting the core functionality of the application. This information enables Calorii to tailor meal suggestions to the user’s dietary preferences, nutritional objectives, allergies, and dietary restrictions. Dietary data may also be used to monitor caloric intake, evaluate nutritional balance, and provide feedback designed to help users maintain or achieve their desired health outcomes.

5.5. AI Assistant and Interaction Data

Information submitted through interactions with the AI assistant is processed to generate responses, recommendations, and insights requested by the user. This information allows the AI assistant to provide guidance related to fitness routines, dietary practices, performance improvement, and other lifestyle topics relevant to the user’s goals. Interaction records may also be analyzed to improve the accuracy, reliability, and quality of AI generated responses, as well as to identify potential system errors, prevent misuse of the service, and maintain the overall integrity of the platform.

5.6. Training, Activity, and Performance Metrics

Training and activity related information is processed in order to monitor user engagement with workouts, track training performance, measure improvements over time, and provide data driven insights related to physical activity. These metrics allow the application to generate progress reports, adjust training intensity, recommend new exercises, and support features such as streak tracking, challenge scoring, and performance comparisons within the platform.

5.7. Images and Visual Data

Images and visual data uploaded, captured, saved, or created by users are processed to support AI-based and user-controlled features that rely on visual information. This may include analyzing images to provide body composition feedback, recognizing food items for nutritional analysis, supporting meal logging and meal history, evaluating visual progress in fitness tracking, generating or personalizing avatars, and providing workout-related feedback.

Processing this information allows Calorii to generate automated insights, recommendations, estimates, and feedback based on visual information submitted or saved by users through the platform. Saved meal photos and progress photos may also be processed to allow users to review prior entries, compare progress over time, maintain records, create summaries, and access related app features.

5.8. User Generated Content

User generated content is processed in order to allow users to create, publish, and share workouts, meal plans, feedback, and other materials within the platform. Processing this information allows Calorii to display shared content to other users, support community interaction, enable saving or copying of shared materials, and maintain the integrity of content within the platform. This information may also be used to moderate content, investigate reports of misuse, and maintain compliance with the platform’s usage policies.

5.9. Community, Challenge, and Leaderboard Data

Data associated with community participation, challenges, and leaderboards is processed to enable competitive and collaborative features within the application. This includes displaying rankings, tracking progress within challenges, comparing performance metrics among participants, and maintaining records of achievements, scores, and activity streaks. These features allow users to participate in voluntary competitions and engage with other members of the Calorii community.

Food, nutrition, barcode, ingredient, and recipe related information is processed to support food search, barcode scanning, meal logging, recipe import, nutrition analysis, food recognition, meal planning, and related app functionality. This information helps Calorii retrieve food and nutrition data, match barcode numbers or ingredient names to database records, calculate or display nutrition information, support saved meals and recipes, and improve the accuracy and usability of nutrition related features.

Information obtained from additional sources may be processed in order to support customer service operations, investigate user inquiries, improve platform functionality, and maintain the quality and reliability of the services offered through Calorii. This information may also assist in verifying user accounts, resolving technical issues, and improving the overall operation of the platform.

5.18. Saved, Exported, and Shared Content

Saved, exported, or shared content is processed to allow users to maintain personal records, review progress history, share achievements, post content to social media, send content through messaging applications, or use device-level sharing features. Users are responsible for reviewing any content before saving, exporting, or sharing it, especially where the content includes personal information, health-related information, body images, meal details, fitness progress, AI-generated analysis, or other sensitive information.

6. Third Party Service Providers

Calorii may share certain categories of user information with selected third party service providers that support the operation, functionality, and technical infrastructure of the platform. These providers perform services on behalf of Calorii that are necessary for delivering the application, enabling specific features, processing transactions, supporting artificial intelligence functionality, maintaining system performance, and improving the overall user experience. Information shared with third party providers is limited to the data necessary for the relevant service and is used solely for the purposes described below.

6.1. Artificial Intelligence Service Providers

Calorii integrates artificial intelligence technologies in order to provide features such as personalized meal planning, workout generation, food recognition, body analysis, performance insights, and responses generated through the AI assistant. In connection with these features, certain contextual user information may be transmitted to external artificial intelligence providers, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, and other AI service providers used to support Calorii features.

The information that may be shared with these providers may include user attributes such as age, height, weight, gender, fitness goals, dietary preferences, and other contextual demographic information necessary to generate personalized recommendations. Additional data that may be shared includes workout metrics such as training volume, repetitions, sets, step counts, calories burned, challenge scores, and other performance indicators. Users may also provide free text prompts or questions when interacting with the AI assistant, and this text may be transmitted to these providers in order to generate responses. In certain features involving image based analysis, images uploaded by users may also be processed through these AI systems for purposes such as body analysis, meal recognition, or visual progress tracking.

These providers process the information for the purpose of generating AI driven outputs requested through the application, including meal plans, workout routines, food recognition, body analysis, health insights, nutrition estimates, and conversational responses from the AI assistant. Calorii takes reasonable steps to limit the information transmitted to AI providers to the information reasonably necessary for the applicable feature and to use applicable provider terms, data processing terms, security practices, and privacy controls where available.

6.2. Authentication Providers

Calorii allows users to register and log into the platform using third party authentication services. These services may be provided by companies such as Apple and Google.

When users choose to authenticate using these services, certain account information may be shared between the authentication provider and Calorii in order to verify the user’s identity and facilitate account creation or login. This information may include the user’s name, email address, profile image, and unique authentication identifiers assigned by the provider. These services allow users to access their accounts securely without creating separate login credentials within the platform.

6.3. Health Platform Integrations

Users may choose to integrate Calorii with external health and fitness platforms such as Apple Health, Apple HealthKit, Google Fit, Google Health Connect, or similar services. When users enable these integrations, certain health and activity data may be synchronized between the services.

Information that may be shared or received through these integrations may include steps taken, calories burned, distance traveled, workout duration, heart rate information, sleep related metrics, and other activity data recorded by the connected service. This information allows Calorii to track physical activity more accurately, generate personalized insights, and maintain continuity between the user’s health data and the features provided within the application.

Health and fitness data obtained from Apple Health, Apple HealthKit, Google Fit, Google Health Connect, or similar health platform integrations is not used for advertising, marketing, retargeting, lookalike audiences, or other advertising-related data mining purposes. Calorii does not intentionally transfer health platform data to advertising platforms or data brokers.

6.4. Payment and Subscription Management Providers

Calorii offers premium subscription features that may be purchased through the mobile application. Payments for these services are processed through the respective application marketplaces, including the Apple App Store and Google Play.

When users purchase subscriptions or in app services, certain transaction related information may be shared with these providers in order to process payments and verify purchases. This information may include purchase identifiers, subscription status, transaction timestamps, and billing related metadata necessary to confirm entitlement to premium features.

In addition, subscription management and entitlement verification may involve services provided by RevenueCat. Information shared with this provider may include anonymized user identifiers, subscription status, transaction identifiers, and purchase history necessary to manage subscriptions, validate access to premium functionality, and maintain accurate billing records.

6.5. Analytics and Performance Monitoring Providers

Calorii may use analytics and performance monitoring tools to better understand how users interact with the application and to maintain system reliability. These providers may collect technical and usage related information generated during the use of the platform.

Information that may be shared with analytics providers may include device information, operating system version, device identifiers, IP address, usage activity, interaction patterns, session duration, navigation paths within the application, and application performance metrics such as crash reports or error logs. These analytics services allow Calorii to monitor system performance, identify technical issues, analyze user behavior, and improve the design and functionality of the application.

6.6. Infrastructure and Cloud Service Providers

Calorii may rely on external infrastructure providers to host application data, maintain servers, support database storage, and ensure the secure operation of the platform. Information processed through these providers may include account information, application data, activity records, AI interaction logs, images uploaded by users, and other information necessary for the operation of the platform. 6.10. Food, Nutrition, Barcode, Ingredient, and Recipe Database Providers

Calorii may use third-party food, nutrition, barcode, ingredient, and recipe database providers to support features such as food search, barcode scanning, meal logging, nutrition analysis, recipe import, food recognition, and meal planning. These providers may include nutrition API providers, barcode database providers, recipe database providers, ingredient databases, and similar services used to retrieve or verify food and nutrition information.

Information shared with these providers may include food search queries, barcode numbers, ingredient names, recipe URLs or recipe text submitted by the user, serving sizes, meal names, and related nutrition data. These providers help Calorii retrieve food, ingredient, recipe, and nutrition information used to support app functionality. Calorii may also use provider responses to display nutritional estimates, match food items, support saved meals, and improve the accuracy of meal logging and meal planning features.

6.11. Advertising, Attribution, Conversion Tracking, and Retargeting Partners

Calorii may work with advertising platforms, attribution providers, analytics providers, and marketing partners, including Meta, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google Ads, and similar services, to promote Calorii, measure advertising performance, attribute app installs, understand campaign effectiveness, and track conversion events such as app downloads, account registrations, trial starts, subscriptions, purchases, renewals, or other actions taken within the application.

To support these activities, Calorii may use pixels, software development kits, conversion APIs, advertising identifiers, device identifiers, campaign tracking tools, referral parameters, and similar technologies. These technologies may collect or process information such as IP address, device information, advertising identifier, app activity, event data, referral source, campaign identifiers, install attribution data, purchase or subscription event data, and interaction data related to advertisements or marketing campaigns.

Advertising and attribution partners may use this information to measure ad performance, attribute conversions, prevent fraud, optimize campaigns, create or measure audiences, support retargeting, create lookalike or similar audiences, and show advertisements for Calorii on third-party platforms.

Calorii does not sell personal information for monetary compensation. However, certain analytics, advertising, attribution, or marketing activities may involve the disclosure of identifiers, device information, internet or electronic network activity, or interaction data to third parties in a manner that may be considered a sale or sharing of personal information under some privacy laws. Where applicable, users may submit an opt-out request through available privacy controls, device or platform settings, a legally recognized opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control, or by contacting Calorii at support@calorii.com. Calorii will provide any additional opt-out method required by applicable law when such a method is available.

6.12. Sensitive Health, Fitness, and Image Data in Advertising

Calorii does not intentionally use body progress photos, meal photos, uploaded images, AI body analysis outputs, detailed health-related information, detailed nutrition logs, workout details, biometric information, or sensitive user-submitted content for targeted advertising or retargeting.

Where Calorii uses advertising, attribution, or conversion tracking tools, Calorii takes reasonable steps to limit the information shared with advertising partners to what is necessary for campaign measurement, install attribution, conversion tracking, fraud prevention, and advertising performance analysis.

6.13. Social Media, Sharing, and External Platform Providers

Calorii may provide features that allow users to share content from the application to social media platforms, messaging applications, device-level sharing tools, or other third-party services selected by the user. These sharing features may use device-level sharing tools, social media integrations, external platform links, or other sharing mechanisms selected by the user.

When a user chooses to share content outside Calorii, the selected third-party platform may receive the shared content and related technical information necessary to complete the sharing action. Calorii does not control how third-party platforms collect, use, store, display, or further share information after the user chooses to share it outside the platform. Users should review the privacy settings and policies of any third-party service before sharing content.

7. Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers and devices offer a feature called “Do Not Track” (DNT) that allows users to indicate their preference not to be tracked while browsing online. Currently, due to the lack of a uniform technical standard for how these signals should be interpreted, Calorii does not automatically respond to Do Not Track signals sent by browsers or devices, except where required by applicable law.

Calorii recognizes and processes legally valid browser-based opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control (GPC), where required by applicable law and where the signal can be associated with the applicable browser or device. A recognized signal will be treated as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and targeted advertising where applicable, for that browser or device. Users may also exercise applicable opt-out rights through available application, device, or platform privacy controls, or by contacting Calorii at support@calorii.com.

8. Security Measures

Calorii implements a variety of technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of personal information processed through the platform. These measures include the use of encryption technologies to protect data during transmission and, where appropriate, during storage, helping to safeguard sensitive information from unauthorized interception or access. The platform also maintains network security protections, including firewalls and similar defensive technologies, which monitor and control incoming and outgoing network traffic in order to prevent unauthorized access to internal systems. Access to personal information is restricted through internal access control mechanisms that limit system access to authorized personnel who require such access to perform their professional duties, using authentication procedures and role based permissions designed to reduce the risk of unauthorized data exposure. In addition, Calorii conducts ongoing security monitoring of its systems and infrastructure in order to detect suspicious activity, identify potential vulnerabilities, and respond to potential security incidents, thereby helping to maintain the security and reliability of the platform and the information entrusted to it by users.

9. Data Breach Notifications

In the event of a security incident or personal data breach that compromises or may compromise the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of personal information, Calorii will take appropriate steps to contain, investigate, and remediate the incident. Calorii will assess the nature and scope of the incident, the categories of information involved, the affected users, and the likelihood and severity of potential risks to individuals.

Where required by applicable law, including the GDPR and UK GDPR, Calorii will notify the relevant supervisory authority without undue delay and, where feasible, within 72 hours after becoming aware of a personal data breach, unless the breach is unlikely to result in a risk to the rights and freedoms of individuals. Where a personal data breach is likely to result in a high risk to affected users, Calorii will also notify those users without undue delay, as required by applicable law. Notifications will be made through appropriate contact methods available to Calorii and will include information required by applicable law.

10. International Data Transfer

Calorii may transfer users' personal data outside of the United States due to the use of hosting, storage and processing services provided by third parties that operate servers located in different countries. These transfers are necessary to ensure the continued operation of the platform and to provide an efficient user experience. Although Calorii is based in the United States, the technology infrastructure used may involve data being stored or processed in jurisdictions with data protection laws other than the United States.

Calorii is committed to ensuring that all international transfers of personal data comply with applicable data protection regulations, including appropriate security measures to safeguard user information. This includes, but is not limited to, implementing standard contractual clauses, assessing the adequacy of data protection in the receiving country, and complying with applicable privacy standards on third party services.

Personal data may be transferred, stored, or processed outside a user’s country of residence as necessary to operate the platform and provide requested services. Such transfers are carried out in accordance with applicable law and, where required, rely on legally recognized safeguards rather than solely on a user’s general acceptance of this Privacy Policy. Calorii takes reasonable steps to protect the integrity and security of personal data during international transfers.

Where personal data from the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom is transferred to countries that may not provide the same level of data protection, Calorii will rely on appropriate safeguards where required by law. In order to protect user privacy and prevent unauthorized access, Calorii may require reasonable verification of the requester’s identity before processing certain requests.
